WEN 56352 Portable Generator Review

I looked at this generator because I wanted a small generator that would provide both 120 and 240 volts under the $350 price range. And was quite impressed, the reviews were all positive and it has a lot of features for the price.

Features:
6.5 HP OHV single cylinder engine
3000 running watts of power with 15 hours of run time at half load
120V outlet, 120/240V NEMA outlet, 12V cigarette style DC receptacle.
Engine hour counter, automatic voltage regulator and circuit breaker. Also features a
4 gallon fuel tank with fuel gauge, automatic low oil engine shutdown

How easy is it to get running?
“This is a very good design and so far the generator has never failed to start on the first pull.”

What is the run time and how much can I run on it?
” Enough power out to keep my refrigerator, freezer and a few lights going when the electric company has a problem. Running for 12 hours on a full tank”

Quality to Price ratio?
“This generator is the best value I have ever seen when compared to what you will deal with when experiencing a moderate to long power outage.”

Amazon.com has this generator at $318 currently. Which is the best price I’ve seen so far.

DuroStar DS4000S – Portable Generator Review

I went and looked at this generator at 4 different review sites, and almost everyone who has tried it has had positive things to say about it.

How easy is it to get running?
“The generator was easy to set up and started in one pull.”

What is the run time and how much can I run on it?
” We have used over the last 3 days to power fridge, 2 fans, charge mobile phones and laptops and run a few lights. We are getting approx a run time of just over 13 hours on one tank (4 gallon) of gas.”

Quality to Price ratio?
“I am very impressed with the overall build quality of this generator. Every component down to the paint used appears high quality and well fitted.”

I highly recommend buying this from Amazon.com (link below). Their price and exchange policy is as good as it get online.

This isn’t the best fire starter out there but for the price, which is $5. The flint was glued on, which was a down side, and the magnesium does take a good bit of time to shave off, but for $5, it gets 4 stars. The magnesium does light faster than the Coleman brand.

This blanket prevents heat-loss from radiation (which is how the majority of our body heat is lost). Radiation is when heat radiates away from its source. This is where the product stands-out: it allows hot pockets of air to form between you and the blanket.

I give it five stars because it does what it is intended to do. And while it’s quality isn’t great, it isn’t being marketed as if it were. It is intended to be an inexpensive, disposable cover to be used in emergencies, and it does that job wonderfully.

I have already had several instances where it was necessary to use this to monitor severe weather conditions, and it works great. No batteries, all hand crank.

If you think about it, food and water are vital to our survival. A human being can only live for a few weeks without food and only a few days without water.
